Nice to meet you!

I am a creative arts administrator and program manager who specializes in the intersection of community engagement and programming. Racial and cultural equity is at the center of all my work, and I thrive on creating opportunities for everyone to see themselves represented on stage, in a program, or in the audience.

As the Programming Manager at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, I founded the community engagement program ArtsBridge in West Dallas and produced the Elevator Project, featuring Dallas’ performing artists. I programmed HearHere, the marquee speaker series in Dallas, helped create a new series of family programming, and booked pop, comedy, and other commercial entertainment throughout the year.

Before moving to Dallas, I was the Programming Manager at Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC, and worked in programming and production at the National Council for the Traditional Arts, producing the National Folk Festival and its related events. I produced several US tours for artists from Brazil, as well as tours through the National Council for the Traditional Arts.

As a lifelong learner, starting an MBA in 2021 is a huge adventure several years in the making. My work and worldview were shaped in large part during my master’s degree in Ethnomusicology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where I also studied Oboe Performance as an undergrad. I am an alumni of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals’ Leadership Fellows Program, as well as a participant in their Emerging Leadership Institute. I lead a volunteer group exploring ways to increase antiracism in the performing arts industry. In my spare time, I bake, hike, get exhausted by my step-kids, and register voters in Texas.
